Angry brake, light failure

The brake lights on my 1995 2500 Ram diesel are not working, due to my shorting out the circuit while hooking up a utility trailer. I have checked the bulbs, the breaker fuses, and modules, and found them to be o.k. Tail lights, signals and emergency flashers are still working fine. Has anyone out there experienced a problem with the brake lights? If so, please let me know how to get the brake lights functional again. Thanks much!

How bad was the short? Like sparks and smoke and melting wire insulation and such? I'd start tracing the brake light wiring and se if you burned something up.

Go to the FAQ/DIY section and download the service manual. Go to electricl and it will show you where to check. Tail lights on separate circuit.
