Default Has anyone had this happen with ur E-Fans?

I put my Electric fans on over a year ago and i notice i lost 1-1.5mpg and with the fan clutch off its like my truck would only get up to 150 degrees. now after these years ive decided to put the clutch fan back on and im already getting better MPG but it still takes my truck a little while (not as much without the clutch) to warm up.....could it be im babying it to much?

i don't know if my electric fans brought my mileage down but i have got the best gas mileage numbers with that mechanical fan on the engine. i have not seen 15mpg in my 81 in a long time but i did see it twice with the mechanical fan installed.

The thermostat was wrong or the fans were set up wrong if you never got past 150*. That's the reason for the crappy mileage. My electric fans helped my mileage noticeably.

I wasn't gonna say anything haha.

OP if your truck never hit over 150* it was constantly running rich, which means less mpg's.

I am with the Ranger on this one, I would never go back to the original fan setup.
