Default goin 22.5's on the 1 ton!

due to the extreme lack of tire and wheel options for the dually, I have come up with my own solution, and going to be installing a set of 22.5 wheels.

tallest tires for stock dually wheels are only about 33'' and we want bigger, other options are installing spacers in the rear to clear wider/taller tires but then they stick out of the fenders way too much, and tires are expensive as he!!, and look a bit strange on the 6'' wide wheels.

adapters can be bought for these wheels, but at $1000 for a set of adapters and massive amount in weight increase, I decided to go a different route, and machined a new center for the 22.5 wheels

this was the first "prototype" to see if its was going to work, so I know the tire and wheel look hideous! but to my amazement, its going to work perfect and better than I thought, they clear everything and don't even stick out of the fenders, so its time to get started on a set!

this is just a low-pro tire at about 38'' tall but has way more clearance up front than the 315 on there now, probably going to go with an aggressive 10r tire about 40'' tall and should clear everything just fine, along with way cheaper prices than pickup tires and will probably last 100k miles or more, not sure what to do with the 10 lug holes just yet, but maby make a lite cover attaching to the 8 lug to cover the holes and put something like the spike lug covers for the big trucks for a little different look

I'm definitely digging the old setup, looks way more aggressive. The new tire almost looks shorter than the old (probably an illusion?). That being said, spiked lug covers would be a sweet finishing touch!

Ya its just a mock up tire, but it is about 4" taller than tge 315's, the final setup will be about 2" taller with a good aggressive tire
