Not my first pick for a tire for what you are looking at doing. I can't remember who it was but someone here got stuck in their driveway in 4" of mud with that tire, that's what a AT tire does. Start looking at a more mud type tire, going by your needs that's the best type of tire to get.

I've got Cooper Discoverer S/T Maxx tires. Great off-road tires, and they are 10-ply as well so they perform good under heavy loads too. And they are quiet on road.

The guy i bought my truck from put those on and im still running them. Mine are 315*75r16. I use them in just about the same terrian plus some sand. I have no problems with them on dirt, loose gravel and small/medium rocks that are slick. The problems come with sharp rocks which like to cut the sidewalls up and take a few tread blocks out if your not careful. With these tires I would stay away from mud that is more than 6" deep even in 4 low, unless you have somebody to pull you out.
