Off roading question
I Really do think that we should get an offroad section on the forums, but anyway, im running cooper atp discoverer's and I was wondering how much I should drop my PSI For offroading? Mainly the train is just going to be gravel/loose rocks/sand, etc. And what are some good things to bring besides a toolbox and a cooler?
There other forums better suited for "offroad" section.
offroadjosh made some good thread in the past. This one is still applicable.

The air down PSI will heavily be dependent on terrain, tire size, wheel size, suspension type.
Never go offroading solo!!

1st - a box full of common sense and restraint.
2nd - small chainsaw, shovel, come-along, 1/4 or 3/8 inch cable about 50-100 feet, straps, chains, ******-block, a couple of buddies. water, food, sleeping bag as needed to survive a night or two if you can't get out.
i never air down unless i'm stuck. it weakens the tire and is usually unnecessary and is only effective for loose sand or mud. if you do air down, i wouldn't go below about 20 psi or you risk unbeading the tire and then your screwed.
