Question Wheels for 1997 V10 2500

Am I correct in understanding that the Ram 2500 8 lug rims are perfectly interchangeable from year to year? I just got this cherry '97 but somewhere along the road it's been upgraded to 17" Ram wheels with 265/70's, except, they didn't bother to do the spare and that still has the 16" rim with a 245 tire. I don't necessarily care if the wheel for the new spare is chrome or not, but just want to make sure it fits before ordering. Thanks.

Yep. They are interchangeable.

They have to by 8x6.5 if I remember correctly.

BTW, sweet truck.

Thanks all around. So clean and less than 51k miles that I couldn't pass it up. It's too quiet though, I still miss my 97 Cummins I guess! :-)

Picked it up in LA. $7900. Maybe paid a bit too much but its so clean and low miles I didn't want to quibble. He was asking $8999. Also has a bed and storage in the back which is cool for my camping excursions. On the down side, he put new tires on it but they're standard load so that will have to go. I also have to put two new mirrors on it (loose) and the reverse lights don't work which I guess I've narrowed down to the switch though I don't know where that is. Interior is like new. I figure here in Vegas I could flip it if I needed too far a few more bucks.

Every 8 lug dodge ever built has a 8x6.5" pattern. Makes it easy.

So you never told me what you thought of the price I paid. Here are a few pics. http://www.flickr.com/photos/sincitypixels/

Tom

It does look clean, and with that low mileage, the price was probably a pretty good deal. Very hard to find one that age with that low mileage!

Good find!
