96 3500 CTD or 01 2500 CTD ?

The deciding factor on this situation to me would be that the '96 has a manual transmission. If that doesn't matter to you, and you are prepared to rebuild the auto if necessary, the 24v is a better choice in my opinion. I like vp44's better than p-pumps for a few reasons, and i don't like dually's unless it is actually necessary. Sounds like it is also in better shape.
