Control Arm Bushing
I am getting ready to install new upper and lower ball joints on my 94 1500 and now that I am paying more attention there is a squeaking noise on both sides of the truck. The ball joint on the left I could push on the rotor and see movement of the ball joint and the question is could be squeaking be coming from the joint or is it the busings.
When I take the front end apart and inspect the bushings other than pieces of material missing is there some way to check the bushings for ware?
Is there any way of getting around having someone pressing the bushing in or can I can I do this with out a press?
Thanks, 370,000 on this Dodge
[Edit] I remember now that the control arms are solid, tight and do not flop up and down if they are good. Anything else on the trouble shooting the condition of the A arms on the Dodge.

I'm having trouble with my 95 Dakota pickup. It is v6 fuel injected. It has 199k miles on it. When I go to accelerate it surges, but if I steadily press the accelerator it is ok. Any ideas?

Hey there new guy, you have a good question but, you should have your own thread set up. I am new also but, this thread belongs to another. Maybe talk to a mod and have it moved. Good luck with the issue. You will get more attention if you have the right heading for your post.
