^yep I followed his thread. He lives about 3hrs north of me, hopefully I can see it in person someday. There are a couple of good Cummins that could be candidates for a COMPLETE kit, and possibly a Perkins inline as well, for those who just want a diesel, not wanting to turn it up, but stay stock and reliable.
So, do you think more people would be interested in a complete Cummins kit then?

Honestly, yes.
And I'm the person who'd put one in a 1500 if I had the cash to blow. I don't personally believe the hype that a Cummins is too heavy for a 1500 front end....

Its not the 44 has been used in many a 3/4 ton truck, adjust the load capacities with the oil burner in it and stay within those numbers and it should be fine. But start making some big tq numbers and larger tires parts will snap like twigs.

6-8k go buy a truck not worth it in my op to do a swap. Just about any given day there are oil burner motors with trans and t case from $2500 and up for sale so 6-8k unless it all rebuilt is way too much for this swap.
^Rebuilt all the way with all the stock upgrades and fixes, and ALL the wiring etc needed to make the swap successful, $6-8 would still be the ballpark.

The engine is not too heavy, you will just need different springs. Turn up the Cummins, not a good idea.
I was referring to a rebuilt motor and trans. I wouldn't waste my time on unknown used parts. I already have a 3/4 ton that is in near perfect shape so I would rather keep it and swap then sell it and get into a vehicle with unknown issues. Of course I still want a 4x4 though.
