Default Cabin Air Filter?

Do second gen rams have cabin air filters, and/or could one be fitted?

yeah they have an unintentional cabin air filter called your evaporator core...

that was my old evap core.

I bought a new one to replace it because that one is just too jammed up full of dirt and crud. the outside stuff was easy to get off, but the stuff deep into the fins just wont come out even with boiling hot water, soap, and scrubbing.

@ $62 out the door to replace, not worth the time trying to clean it more.

that thing being clogged controls how much air goes through your vents...all air must pass through the evap core whether the AC is running or not. a/c running just controls if the evap core gets cold or remains at ambient temp, doesn't control whether air passes through it or not.

you can't enlarge the pic but it look like it goes in the vent openings in the cowl.
