If you bought a truck, we need to change the title of this thread and if you want to turn it into a technical question thread for your new truck we need to move it to the tech section......or......start new threads on issues so it's easler for other members to search for stuff instead of burying your tech questions inside a general discussion thread on "looking at a truck" .....

Went and got an oil change yesterday since there was an oil leak. They said there was a leak from the main seal but it wasn't bad. I have a ton of oil on my driveway this morning. Looks like I am going to have to drop the truck off at the mechanic. I hope everything else is ok.

Maybe the drain plug or filter were not tightened all the way after the oil change?

I don't know. The oil change place said it looked like the main seal was leaking. Just my luck.

Mechanic just called. Truck needs a new oil pan. I just hope the truck wasn't driven that much with low oil. It ran good and strong so I'll try not to worry about it too much.
