Great looking rig and love the Camo paint job. You did a good job on it. What paint did you use? Is it all rattle can or?
Like your write-up on the 1 ton axle swap too. You're making your truck into one tuff beast.
It was all rattle cans wildman. Rust Oleum camo paints, they had 6 colors and I picked up a few others that were satin, just to get the variety. The first camo job had some primers in it and they faded real bad. When I did it the first time, I wasn't sure if I was going to like it and feel it was a mistake. It has always atracted attention from young and old and even women. The new camo job has been no different.
Looks badass! 2 thumbs up, especially on the rivnut mounting idea. Imho, just cut the bottoms of the flares parallel to the ground and leave them. It'll look fine and any moisture that get behind them has an out.
Thanks guys! Thats a good idea Jimythefan, I think I will chopped them off parallel. There is fastener on each side of the back that I was trying to keep on there, but with the rivnuts, I suppose I have plenty of fastening strength
