Ive been in the market for some third gen rims for some time now, but dont really need them. I found this ad on craigslist, http://chicago.craigslist.org/sox/pts/4282840548.html, and am wondering what your guys opinion is. I think thats too much to pay for them myself seeing as the tires are border line shot, but I dont really know what the going rate on these rims are elsewhere. They dont show up often around me.

 

Well if they were closer to me, I'd jump on them.

3rd gen wheels selling for half that around me. IMO, 100 per wheel is a little much.

 

Thats what i was figuring for a set of pretty much rims because the tires are junk. I think Ill just wait until spring or summer when people take their stock winter tires and swap em for summer ones. But maybe thats just wishful thinking. Plus tax season is around the corner

 

Depends on your area, up here I would be all over both sets of wheels for that price. A good set of 3rd gen aluminum wheels start at $400 and just keep going up from there.
