Default Best Practice on Gaskets

Ok, I'll be doing some engine work here in a few weeks and I just want to make sure that I do things properly. I have a couple of gasket related questions:

Plenum Gasket - Is it correct to put a light coat of Red RTV on both sides of the gasket? If not, what's best practice?

Intake Manifold Gasket - Is it correct to put dabs of RTV (RED?) in the corners, where the heads meet the block, and along the top and bottom of the middle sections?

Timing Cover Gasket - Is it correct to put a light coat of RTV (RED) on both sides of this gasket?

I just want to do this job 1 time. I don't want to screw up and have to do it again. Input appreciated!

Only a little dab of rtv at the end of the little rubber pieces where the gaskets meet at the front and back of the engine.

No rtv anywhere else. At least that's what I do. You don't need rtv if you
already have a gasket

Ok, thanks Hambone!

So no RTV on Plenum or Timing Cover Gasket?

IIRC the Factory service manual calls for Ultra Black RTV.
