How Old Are Your Tires?
Read an article about aging tires and how they may be related to car accidents.
So I went out and got the manufacturer date off the tire, here are my results:
GoodYear Wrangler Authority (bought as a set from Wally World)
XXXX, First 2 numbers are production Week, last two are production Year.
21st week of 2011
16th week of 2010
16th week of 2010
Odd ball Goodyear Wrangler:

So my odd ball is the newest tire I have....

Yep, good to always look at the tires before purchasing to make sure they aren't leftovers. Recommended lifespan is around 4-5 years regardless of wear. I just purchased new tires recently and made sure they were all 2014 and I also replaced the original Michelin spare even though it looked fine.
My BFG's are all 2410... they've been on since Nov 2011, so they where in transit/on the shelf for 17 months... I have over 38k on them, and they're not even half done yet... got ~86k out of the first set... the sad factory Goodyear's only made 44k.
