Stainless Steel Bolts
Are there any downsides to using stainless steel fasteners in place of the regular fasteners for timing covers, oil pan, accessory mounts, water pumps, etc?
Thanks!

That was a quick post.
I use Stainless Steel bolts quite often at work.
They are a pain. Grab a 3/8 bolt and nut, tighten them down with an air ratchet. Good luck getting them apart.
That goes for all Stainless nuts and bolts.
Most, and I mean 90%, need to be cut off.
I've found antiseize helps.
We use Stainless when bolting aluminum pieces together.
Other than that I avoid them.
I will use Stainless washers with a standard bolt on aluminum if they're sight unseen.
