Default New to Ram and trucks. advice on accessories

I recently bought a 96 Ram 1500 Magnum V6 3.9L 2wd.
It has 79,000 original one owner miles.
Its a plain Jane white (recent terrible paint job but same color White)
Thanks to the board I was able to get it running pretty well.
My question is, if you had a plain Jane white plastic bumper vehicle, what and where would you start accessorizing it.
Chrome Bumpers from a salvage yard.
What kind of bed liner and where to get it?
Just some DIY things to dress up the look and suggestions on where and how much.
I realize that this is a broad question. I just don't know what's cool and what's available and best places to look at upgrades.
Thanks for any suggestions. I'm not rich but I'd drop a grand or two since I paid $1500.00 for it and it has 5 new tires on cold air.
thanks

What are you going to use the truck for? I would consider finding a set of 4th gen takeoffs and selling your current wheels/tires. Probably could get most of your money back. I don't think I would bother with chrome bumpers. Maybe a roll pan in the back and a sport bumper in the front? And debadge it and some window tint. It would be helpful if you posted a picture of your truck.

I am not the original owner but here's the chrome bumper from my 98. Snow's giving great advice. Last night I entered my email address for my state on salvage yards data bases and received 5 locations for a brush guard on this 98 (requires VIN). I'll update Monday of my results. It's boiling down to GR autoparts or used2 parts (via email and phone for truck armor and or brush guard).

Edit-Awaiting response. Well, while awaiting results and a call, I have gone to a fabricator for pricing on front road armor that includes space up front for a 10,000 lb winch. I'll have an answer on Thursday. K.
Edit 2: My fabricator said the lady in their office that prices steel has been out (so he says Monday now for price). But, I did see the design and dimensions (looks very professional). K.

Edit 3: Received 1 bid from a professional machine shop at $920, to accommodate a 10k front winch (no paint). I decided a no-bid on the local start up since it took them 2 days to decide they could not quote until they could establish steel cost (you can get that off internet, like the professional machine shop), my good friend also get's a referral fee and that was not mentioned either. Ranch Hand style without upper brush guard. K.

Should I look at a better exhaust. Maybe a flowmaster. Pros and Cons.
I'll post a pic tomorrow. Just imagine a base model 1500 Magnum. White with no options. Black grill that I had to tie wrap on because bottom clips are broken.lol. Bedliner? I plan on using it only occasionally to haul a trailer with a small tractor and implements. Or just driving around.
Sorry, but what is a roll pan and debadge. I'm a real rookie here.
I'm not the original owner. I bought it from the original owner.

A roll pan fills in the gap below the tail gate when you remove the rear bumper, it gives a nice clean look to the back of the bed. Debadge is when you remove all the emblems from the side and rear of the truck, it gives you a cleaner body line.

I would do the exhaust, and either a cold air intake or a high flow air filter, that will help some. I complete tune up and oil change would also be a good idea. For accessories, do a google search for accessories for your truck and you will find a lot of things that you can get for it.

Nice set of AT tires, a slick bed liner and maybe a tonneau cover or a bed cap. An aftermarket stereo with a USB port (love being able to listen to my ipod in the land of now radio stations here.) Window tint, nerff bars...

Just go with the basics. Nice window tint, a good radio with a USB/Aux in, and a good bedliner. Respectively, I'd suggest some good ceramic tint, a nice Pioneer HU, and something like a Dualliner
