Anyone else play with CamQuest?
Despite the fact that there is no chance of an engine build in my near future, lately I have been spending a ton of time on Comp's CamQuest software. I have found a couple of really awesome parts combos for our Magnum motors. While I'm not sure exactly how accurate the power predictions are, it still gives an idea of how potent these motors can be. One mild, high torque 408 stroker I "built" today with 1.92"/1.62" Iron Ram heads, the intake that seemed closest to a Hughes Air Gap, a 206/210 .480 cam, 9.0:1 compression, and LT headers made 475hp @ 6k and get this 510 lb.ft. of torque @2500 rpms and held over 500 all the way through about 4500. Someone should build me this engine pretty please. Same combo in a 365 (360 bored .030 over) made equal power and about 480 lb.ft. at 4000. Anyone else use this program and have any awesome builds you want to share?
