Wow. Couldn't scrape up funds to repair the transmission but borrowed money to get a hot rod (aka, a depreciating asset)? I can see your financial situation is going to be bleak in 10 years.

why would I wanna put a new tranny in a old beat 360 with bad milage when I can upgrade to a new car with 0 down with good credit. I didn't have 2500 laying around for a new tranny for something else to crap out next .

I agree with lastrights, there comes a time when these old vehicles just aren't worth investing $2500 into...

Agreed. Why I no longer have mine. $2500 transmission in a $3000 truck? Nah. I'll sell it for what I can get for it.
