ok,since no one is asking I will tell anyhow,After removing the inst. Cluster I found two 31ohm maybe 10 or 15 watt ceramic resistors that were not only hot as hell but had burned a Perminant scare on the p.c. board as they weRE siting On The Board!, I replaced them with 30 ohm 25 watt ceramic resistors from frys electronics and had soldered both sides of the board .so after removing the 4 screws of the top two female mounted connectors I pulled apart the boards to get to the backside of the p.c. board, oops the hands pope off all the gauges,Don't Freak. Well ok freak out,but to put them back into proper calibration you must take the pc board screwed back with the 4 screws to the truck and plug all the connectors in ,turn on the key ,wait a few seconds than push each hand on set to 0 or if your speedometer has been incorrect maybe do to oversize tires here your opportunity to make it right. Peace out

They can be, there a whole industry on it. I have yet to lose money on a vehicle you just have to be really patient and picky about what you purchase.
