Default 1998 dodge ram rear end

please help i am working on my 1998 dodge ram 1500 rear differential 925 i need know where buy the gauge block tools sp6020 appreciate your help

I need to know what gear ratio I need for my truck the rear end when out a year ago got a new one from the junkyard but it was the wrong one and now I done forgot what the one that come out of it was I think it was a 3.92 but I could be wrong I want my 4wheel drive back

Open up the front axle and look on the ring gear should be stamped on it.

You don't say what you are working on, but the stock gear ratio is on the broadcast sheet if still legible, under the hood or in the jockey box. VIN decoder might help as well. All the original differentials I have seen have a number tag, 3.54. 3.9, 4.1 etc. Front and back need to be the same right?
If you have the old one on the bench, ring teeth count divided by pinion teeth count is the ratio. Like wise, in the truck, might be little had to manage, but one exact full axle turn will yield a number of driveshaft turns equal to the ratio. Lot of ways to go about it.
