back in a gas truck
No real point to this thread besides sharing my past trucks
I started out on the forum when I bought my first truck at 15 spent all my free time reading thought is site
First truck was a 98 1500 CCSB 5.2 4x4 auto with 100k I bought it and had the body redone and painted, then lifted it 3", 33's

After a couple years owning that I bought my second truck which was a 95 2500 rclb 2wd 12v cummins auto with 285k on it
I bought it planning on shortening it into a rec cab short bed

In the middle of the short bed project I sold the 1500 and bought and sold my third truck
95 2500 eclb 4wd 12v cummins 5 speed with 260k

I daily drove the short truck for a while after selling the 5spd
Then after doing all the body work I starting loosing interest in it and traded it with cash on the other guys end for a 96 2500 rclb 4wd 12v cummins 5 speed with 265k

After about 6 months of driving the lifted 5 speed I started to get tired of it, dual disc pulling clutch on the street got tiring quick, I sold that and bought a 94 2500 rclb auto 4wd 12v cummins auto with 190k
And at this point I started parting out 2nd gens locally

But that truck was one issue after another, finally blew the transmission in that one, I think I cracked the case. I sold that one I didn't want to deal with the trans.
Then I bought a 99 2500 qclb 24v cummins 4wd auto with 250k
This on just had a Fass 95 and edge tuner added to it and I bought it knowing it needed a new injection pump so I picked it up and replaced it

And last week I sold the 99 and I picked up my newest truck last night
95 2500 ecsb 5.9 360 auto with 160k
I called yesterday and was told a lot of the brake parts are new but they are still really spongy. Looked at it last night and one of the wheel cylinders in the rear was shot and they replaced master cylinder, rotors, calipers, pads, and hoses up front but they had the calipers on the wrong side causing the bleed screws to be pointing the wrong way
So I'll see how this truck likes towing the half tons around for parts, I know it won't be as good as my cummins but we'll see.

So when I sold the 1500 I slowly stopped coming on dodgeforum, and moved to cumminsforum. But want to make my way back here. So thought I'd add a really long thread showing what I've been up to.

Favorite is the first truck. Beautiful job! Then there's me: bought my truck in 01 from a dealer with only 40k and warranty and have driven it every day since. Now over 190k and she's still my girl. I took my vows seriously, ha.
Interesting thread. I have not posted in some time, but I retain my 98 4x4
360 and the 99 4X4 Cummins. The Cummins I rebuilt the tranny, and have
done regular maintenance. The 360, shocks, water pump, maintenance, hoses.
Either truck will haul about anything I need. If it's off road, it's the gasser,
long hauls the diesel. I get tired of one, I'll hop in the other. I just drove the
diesel to NC & back about 800 miles through the mountains, no issues. I'm a
happy camper. Keith

I already put the truck to my test last week, towed home a parts truck with it, 97 1500 reg cab short bed 4w4, towed it about 85 miles. I do miss the diesel, but the 360 will do for now.
Also might have went a little over board with lightbars on the truck, it looks stupid during the day but works great at night.
