Unhappy Front Diff Cover Clearance Issue With 3rd Gen Steering Upgrade

My 2001 2500 4x4 now has a 09 HD steering upgrade(tie rod and drag link) that I recently put on, but I am having to run the stock diff cover because of clearance issues when turned full lock either direction. Anyone else who has done this upgrade having the same issue? Or what aftermarket diff are you running on there that fits with this upgrade? I had a G2 on the front then had to take it off after I swapped in that beefy steering linkage.

That's what you'll have to do since you're using 3rd gen parts on the 2nd gen. Best option would be to get the 98-99HD T- steering setup. Same idea as what you did but ACTUALLY designed for and used on 98-99 trucks and with grease zerks. No idea why Dodge stopped in 2000 but search for it and you'll find plenty of writeups. Also try diesel forums as they have many of the same problems but there's more of those still on the road.
