Default New guy looking for advise

Hey everyone, obviously a new guy, but I'm hoping you all might lend me some advice on this. I've been looking to buy a truck for awhile, and older dodges have really caught my eye. I'm looking at a 97 1500 Slt (https://springfield.craigslist.org/cto/5633399382.html). I realize you guys are obviously somewhat biased or you wouldn't be on here , but I'm just looking for some honest opinions on this model. The biggest problem I hear is that the transmissions are junk, and considering the price is at $3k I think he might be hiding something from the ad. Besides that any big issues I should watch out for if I decide to look at the truck?

Thanks!

Price is pretty typical. Intake plenum and transmission are somewhat big ticket items to check thoroughly.
