More power is the plan and from what I've researched so far the 12v is pretty straight forward swap as most things are the same

Ok, having driven a 12v (and 24v) second gens and having owned a v10, prefer the v10. Just wish the aftermarket felt the same way. 12v are simple motors though with a ton of aftermarket support.

I had a 24v and driven a 12v felt lIke the 12v has more in it than the v10. Plus they are really simple motors. Just gotta find a decently priced one which is hard. But I'd kinda like a builder motor to completely go through it

Well the v10 had more torque and way more horsepower than the 12v but the 12v hits so hard off idle. I felt the v10 had more power but this one had dual exhaust and stuff done to it. The one thing that has always struck me about the 12v I drove is there wasn't much difference between 1/2 throttle and WOT unloaded. But they are fuel sippers in comparison to the v10 and no emissions crap to deal with.

Exactly this v10 is way more thirsty than the 24v I had. Probably even more thirsty than the mega cab Cummins on 35s with 8" lift we drove from CA to Illinois pulling an older toy hauler with 3 dirt bikes and a weeks worth of stuff for 5 people haha we probably averaged 16-20 the whole way

Alright guys so I've been daily driving the truck for about a month now...Killin me in gas haha but anyways drove it to Turlock on Friday about an hour away from where I was and the transfer case started leaking. So where can I get a seal from or does anyone have a part number. It's leaking from the rear somewhere haven't pin pointed it but I took a pic to see if someone knew

No seals, just silicone. Black RTV has worked well for me, but I've seen about every color used. Just depends on what you have available.

I towed with a 99 diesel, no problems. I traded for a hemi, as I'm no longer haulin.
But if I had it to do over, I'd get a good 95 12V in a 4x4. Keith

Ya my plans are to swap it to a 12v but I have another project that is priority. All in time I guess. I loved towing with my 2000 24v it pulled great especially with the 5speed behind it
