well its been a long time since i've posted here... a lot has happened. most recently i bought a 4th gen 2017 1500 qc. So now the old ladys truck gets to sit back and relax. honestly its due for some work. i found a 98 on craigslist with the 5.9 and a blown trans. the guy says itll go i reverse no problem and when you put it in drive it seems like it wants to roll sometimes but otherwise nothing. im going monday to look at the truck and see if its worth purchasing. the guy is asking 1300$ im going to see if he will take 900$ as it has 180,000 miles. my 5.2 is still good and the trans is running strong still. the 5.2 could use a rebuild asap and the frame and body are just about done. im looking at possibly demoing out both trucks and in the process possibly have the 98 running while i build up the 5.2 and the bad trans with a new tc and then gut out the 98 and swap over the wiring, motor, and dash from the 97 as i prefer the older dash. so does my girlfriend. and being its her truck im going to try and keep it how she had it. i may save the 5.9 and trans for a project down the road as well.

 

Well that buy fell through. I have however started some demo on the old truck

beds off. Bumper. Hitch. Sprayed all the bolts for the bed. Snapped 1 and another looks stretched. Hoping to just replace the whole bed anyways. Still need a donor truck. Junkyard next week. They got a few new trucks in so I'm going to look
