Default From 2nd gen Ram, to 2nd gen Dakota

Sup guys!!

so, the 2nd gen ram.is long gone, as most of you know.

3rd gen is running awesome, and looks pretty awesome as well!

so last February, I bought a 98 Dakota 2wd 3.9 5 speed.

about 2 months ago I started my engine swap. The dakota now has my built 360 installed into it!

I put a larger throttle body on it, and picked up some mopar mid length headers.

truck is running and driving!

Nice! Good to see that the truck is up and running!

What are some of the planned upgrades you have for that dakota? You going to run the stock transmission, or bump up to a bigger model? What else will you be doing to it?

well, the motor i built 5 years ago is toast...

lower end bearings are shot. picking up a low mileage (103k) 360 to swap parts over to on thursday.

few different parts on the motor now. traded the 2bbl m1 for a 4bbl m1, 58mm f&b throttle body, and got spintech mid length headers.

truck is currently sitting on a trailer until its time to swap motors.

motor is also no longer tuned by hemifever. never ran right with his tune. constantly backfiring thru the throttle body, and 6mpgs...

its now tuned by flyin ryan. by far one of the nicest guys to deal with, and .by far the best tuner for the dodge community!

my motor, before the bearings went, was way more streetable, not more backfiring issues, and gained gobs of power too!

I've heard that before about hemifever. Guess he should stick to his namesake: hemis.

What trans did you swap in behind the 360? NV4500? The little AX15 isn't rated for near enough torque, especially when tuned. The nv3500 doesn't even go over 300lbft.

Cool project. If your valve covers are missing, it wasn't me. LOL
