Hi, bought a well maintained 200k mile ‘01 ram 1500 4x4 5.9 gas Laramie. I wanna do a few upgrades, nothing crazy. I want to put 265 75 r16 on, backup camera, and 2 inch leveling kit. I might put 2000 miles a year if city driving on it. I will not be towing or off-roading. Any other suggestions? Maybe how to Ute up loose steering?

T steering, new steering shaft, and a PSC box will tighten up the steering
It wouldn't hurt to take a close look at things under it to locate the steering issue. Don't forget about the rusting rear brake line and gas tank straps..
May have plenum gasket issue. Will try pvc valve first, then if not, mechanic friend owes me big. While I have the engine torn apart, what else should I replace. I was thinking Tran cooler, thermostat, distributer, fuel injectors, upgrade throttle body, water pump, etc?
While doing the plenum, I would change the timing chain, water pump, thermostat, Distributor cap and rotor. The valve seals like to leak also. Great time to change spark plugs and O2 sensors. Get copper spark plugs, not platinum or iridium. Get Mopar, Standard Motor Products, or NTK O2 sensors.. Clean or replace the IAC and clean where it goes in the throttle body. Check out Utawesome performance. They have plates for in your manifold that increase velocity in the plenum.
3rd gen t-steering will bolt right in without any mods. Took me about 15 minutes to put on. I only have 90K miles. This is for your 2001. It improved the steering 100%. From point and hope it goes that direction to a nice solid feel to steering.
