13 Days after the fire tore through the wiring and other stuff in the engine bay, she started up with no hesitation!
Overall cost was around $1000 for all the needed components (big shoutout to Ebay and the junkyard '96 I tore a bunch of stuff out of) That number probably pales in comparison to what a shop would've charged for parts + labor, and I'd be surprised if anyone local wanted to even give it a shot to fix up, so I made do with what I got.
I'm sure @Moparite would be pleased to hear this good news as a fellow Indy owner, and I am extremely happy myself that everything worked out. Only thing is I might have popped a fuse since my radio doesn't work and neither does the ABS, but as long as it runs and gets me where I need to go, I'm pleased. It would be nice to get rid of the ABS light though, so might have to pay the junkyard a visit again for that fuse, and driving without the radio sucks when I'm stuck in traffic.
Other than that, feels great behind the wheel, definitely could use a fresh coat of paint though, and I cleaned out the engine bay from most of that fire extinguisher powder and tried to pretty it up a bit. The K&N plastic quality surprised me since it held up so well in the flames, but those slightly melted bits on the top just adds character.
Thanks @AtomicDog for recommending those fuel hose clamps, hopefully that saves me some headache in the future! I never would have guessed the injector rail hose would need something like that, which is what lead to my little adventure to begin with. Lessons have been learned for sure.
