LOL i started to post it in another thread anyway. i went back and removed the question in my other post and then directed it to here so people wont think you crazy. LOL
so no one knows for sure why they designed it that way?
i was thinking it has to do with a frontal crash and the crumble zones. to make sure the motor goes under the truck and not in to the cab.
It shifts the weight of the motor to over and behind the front axle helping handling and weight distribution.
It allows the assembly line to use the same motor mounts, tranny location, tcase location drive shafts ect with different motors such as the V10 or Cummins.
