Default Went down to 245s

They look f'ing tiny after having 285s since I bought the truck. But my gawd they run a lot better with stock gears.

Yeah, the guy at Discount said those Hankooks are one of the best on the market for the price. It's not really tire diameter that looks small, it's the width.

I think if you were to take the flares off, it would look better.
More in proportion with the width (or lack there of) of the tire.

Can you qualify this a little bit. How did it run with the 285s? How is it running better with the 245s?

I have 265s (factory size) and would love to go bigger, but also am on stock gearing.

The 285s were dog slow off the line and horrible at pulling my boat (5,000lbs). Also the steering was extremely heavy with all that contact patch on the pavement.

With the 245s though, it pulls way better and has a lot more pick up from a stop.
