I recently installed a 3d gen trackbar and trackbarmount from Solid Steel on my 99 1500 Sport, but I have a clearance problem. The trackbar mount hits the left steering linkage when I go over speed bumps. Is this normal? Anyone else experienced this problem? The truck is stock, no spring modifications

i have an idea whats going on... you installed the wrong trackbar. get a track bar for a 2nd gen ram and you wont have clearance issues. if this is supposed to be a retrofit kit, then the company that sold it to you gave you the wrong components.

 

I talked to the company and they said it was the right part, and that they never had any clearance issues before. its the part where the track bar mounts to the track bar bracket that hits the steering. Would like to add a picture, but how do I do that?
