looks like your trucks bigger with more of a lift if its level in the front.. when it squats down in the front thats an extra 2 or so inches your missing out on. my front end sits 2 inches lower then the back even after 6 inches of lift. so im gonna find a set of 2 inch coils and maybe 37's

I think mine already came with one in it. How would I check? Other than the obvious fact that it's level...

Backwards ... Rams have a forward rake (they're lower in the front). It's supposed to be better for gas mileage. Leveling lits are cheap and extremely easy to install.

GREAT link Bill !!

I was also under the impression ( correct me if I'm wrong ) that our trucks sit higher in the azz end so that when you hook a trailer up to it, it level's it out. By leveling your truck out now, when you put a trailer on it actually pushes the front end higher then the back.

Right or wrong?

that would make sense mayfair. i would like to get one to level my front end out, i personaly would rather have my truck level. guy at the shop said id have to get some new shocks too, but i need 'em, every speedbump at the right speed they bottom out and i get a nice loud azz thud. but not too get off topic, but with the kit im getting new tires. i was just wondering whether or not to get mickey thompsons or these bridgestone duelers, any oppinions?

Depends on the tongue weight and how stiff your spring/shock combo is in the back. Of course ... loading the bed up will do the same thing. Don't care though ... mine's a DD ... only occasionally load her up and haul stuff.

EDIT: Mike454 ... for only 2" ... you don't need new shocks. If your's are already worn out ... fine ... but don't let someone tell you that you NEED new shocks because of a 2" level.

If you're truck is bottoming out now over speed bumps the front springs are probably pretty worn out, I've heard they're only good for about 90K. I went with SkyJacker front coils that were 2 inches taller than stock and that leveled it out nicely for about $135 for the pair.. Stock size shocks I believe are fine when going just 2 inches higher. I think I'd have to jump the truck Dukes of Hazzard style to get it to bottom out now, much firmer.
I think my back springs are a little worn out too, so I'm going to do them too. If it gets too much rake back I think I can add a 2" coil spacer at that time for 4" overall, but that's going to require new shocks for sure.

There are some 2" coil spacers on ebay for $58 or so. I have been watching them but I am not sure if I am going to purchase them or not.

Here are the springs I bought. I guess the price has went up since I got them a year ago. They have a 3" version as well.
