runs worse when at operating temp.
well my truck is finally starting to get the bugs worked out of it. the trans feels like it is finally squared away thanks to 2 rebuilds and a new gps. but i noticed that my truck runs excellant in the morningwhen its cold but as soon as it reaches operating temps it becomes a dog again when cold its got plenty of power and some to spare but as son as it heats up back to barely being able to get out of its own way. any ideas
Open loop vs. closed loop operation. When the engine is cold, the PCM uses preset information to run the motor (ignores the sensors). Once it reaches operating temperature, the sensors come online and the PCM regulates the engine based on their input. Question is ... which sensor (or combination of sensors) is bad?
ill look into it. but maybe this will help with the diagnosis the truck at one point about 2 weeks ago started popping through the tb at higher rpms. any sensors or anything that would cause this to happen. it doesnt always lose power just yesterday towing my trailer it was pulling like a champ but today it was a dog. im finally getting this thing running right and i cant let this beat me.
