color codes
camping season is here, so i am attempting to wire up my 99 1500 to pull my camper. has a simple 4prong flat on trailer. does anyone know the color codes under the back of the truck. I know standard is brown, yellow, green, and white, but dont know if truck is this way also or not, also forget which color goes to what function! anyone have a clue?
I'm not sure about the color codes of the wires under the truck, but here is the standard color codes for a trailer:
WIRE COLOR CODE AND LIGHTS
The following wire color code function is used:
[*]White wire - is your ground.[*]Yellow and brown wires - travels on the left side of your trailers.[*]Green and brown wires - travels on the right side of your trailers.[*]Yellow wire - is for your left stop and turn signal lights.[*]Brown wire - is for tail lights, clearance and marker lights.[*]Green wire - is for your right stop and turn signal lights.
