can you power brake it in the rain? just get a hose or something and wet the driveway and see if you cant get them to turn over. i can spin my 35's and get them to smoke if its alittle wet out.. and even if it isnt i drop the clutch and swing the *** end around when turning all the time lol. not good for anything in the driveline but oh well

That's why I use 4x4 in the rain ... I can't smoke these BFG's dry (never tried power-braking it) but if I just blip the throttle when it's wet ... both rears break loose and the *** end starts to swing around on me. In hi-lock ... I can floor it and it just scoots.

i can get my big azz 22's to break loose with little problem i am running 305/45/22's. i second the checking the plenum but i could smoke mine before i got my plenum done.i was adding 1 qt almost every week it was that bad so i dont really think the gasket is the culprit.

oh and my engine is stock except for a brute force intake. so you should definently have no problems with your mods

all i can do is "one-wheelie-peelies" though but i can melt that damn tire right off the rim lol

i was actually able to let them go in my gravel driveway (i actually had to try though). and I did notice that both tires were spinning. Anyone know what the factory stall is so I can see if it might be the torque converter? Also, who has the best price on a new converter?

On gravel you shoudn't even have to think about it to spin. You should be thinking more about NOT spinning in gravel than wondering if you have the power to break loose. My parents live on a dirt road and mine with a 318 will break both back tires loose and dig a ditch as far as you please without touching the brakes.

What have you ruled out as the problem? I am kind of leaning toward the catalytic converter idea though. I can smoke my 40's with no problem.

i have a magnaflow 3" cat that I would like to put on, but I have to wait for a good day so I can take the exhaust off after the manifold and weld it all together.
