Default Dana 44 IFS?

[align=left]Hi, I am posting from Australia where info about RAMS is far and few between. I was hoping one of you knowledgeable Dodge guys can help me with a little information.
I know that Dana 44 front diffs were used in the 1500 series up to 2002. What I need to know is whether Dodge ever used a Dana 44 IFS front end? I think they went to a dodge ifs diff in 2002, but I am after a Dana 44 IFS and was wondering whether Dodge used one of these at any stage. Hope one of you guys can help.

I'm not sure if the IFS in '02+ are even Dana, they started using alot of AAM (American Axle Co.) in '02+

I think F-150s used IFS D44s, could be wrong.

It'd be alot of work swaping one in.

dodge didnt use a D44 IFS but like said above the fords did.. my dads 94 explorer has a D44 pumpkin with the wishbone setup.. pretty damn strong and rides halfway nice.. the wishbone was the convert between SFA and IFS..

unless jeep might have done something with the "famous" D44 but im not sure about that

i spent 2 months in Darwin and few other places.. man your country is beautifull.. people are very nice!! cant say much for the beer tho.. lol

I spent a month in Darwin ... we were flying our F-16's against the Aussie's F-18's. Can't say I care to much for the humidity ... or the crocs ... the beer though (sorry ... bee'a) was GREAT. You must not have been drinking the right stuff. VB ... I've been looking for it over here ... no luck.

Dodge introduced the "Ram Trac" shift-on-the-fly transfer case/CAD combination on it's 4wd pick-ups in 1984.
