Default 46re Trans temp gauge?

I have heard that there is a place to put a trans temp sender into the 46re trans w/out drilling the pan. I took a look yesterday, and found about 4 or 5 1/8"NPT ports w/ plugs, but Im not sure which one to use for my gauge.
Thanks

There arefive ports you can use (see pic). I am currently using the front servo port with decent results, but the best one to use is the governor test port as it it the only one that has fluid in it all the time. I need to move mine to that port, just haven't had time.

alright, well the gauge came in today.. woo hoo... but i have a problem. The sender does not work in the governor test port of the tranny. The sender bottoms out on something before even being able to get a single thread on. Is there another port I can use that will work correctly? According to the posted diagram, there is teh accumulator test port, front servo test port, and rear servo test port. What happens if you use either of these?
thanks

I am using the front servo port, and I am comfortable with the readings I get from it. Try that port. That other port must be more shallow.
