5.9 to cummins swap

5.9 to cummins swap
hey guys iv got a 99 ram 1500 thats miled out but still in nice condition so i wanna swap to a cummins because well diesels rock and i got the truck for cheap so i have a few questions, half to three quater ton, is it the same frame or is that different, i realize that i would change out the whole drivtrain, and get 3/4 ton suspension to take the added weightand getthe computers, sensors guage bezel and all that but i just need some help.so just some tips, i know it will be pricey but please just humor me any input would be muchly appreciated, thanks guys

theres a fella at pavementsucks.com that did it.. put a CTD into a 1500.. but now that truck is sitting on rocks.. lol

It's notjust the time and money involved, but also the agg. Not only do you hafta beef everything up, but the wireing is also totally different. Honestly .. I'd sell it and get yourself a diesel. It'll be less expensive in the long run.

I saw a cummins engine thathad 300K miles for sale, and they wanted $5,000 for it. It's gonna be a very expensive venture.

hmm well thanks for the input guys, still considering it being superhawk did it and he figures hes sittin at around 12gs with the truck included, well thanks again guys.
