Default I need help with custom exhaust setup

Iv been having trouble figguring out a good true dual setup. Deciding that Im going to get longtube headers next, I have to come up with a new exhaust setup to mate up with the headers, so i dont just want to modify the stock system Id rather go true duals. Obviously ill need an h pipe so i can get a decent reading from the oxygen sensor, but the thing thats buggin me is that i want it to exit before the rear wheel, so i dont have much room to play with. Id like it to come out single on both sides, but its more of an improbability with where the gas tank is, unless i like the exhaust hanging down real far, which may just be how I do it. Iv pritty much given up on the single on each side unless i realy get a bug up my a$$ about it. Im thinking of a setup like the lightnings have true dual on the one side exiting before the rear wheel. If you could help me come up with a setup that will allow me to run singles off of each side, i would be elated.

Indy, it's going to be tuff with a single cab to have pipes out each side. I have true duals on my quad cab but they are not connected to each other. The passenger side holds the O2 sensors. Both sides at the moment attach to the factory manifolds, down to high flow cats just on the backside of the trans cross member, then into regular mufflers. They dump under the cab and do not stick out. I don't know how long the long tube headers will stick out, but was thinking you could criss cross the pipes and have each of them exit on the oppisite side of the truck. Passenger would exit on drivers side in front of rear wheel. Drivers side exits on passenger side. That would give you some extra length. With the set up I have I haven't noticed any problems with the sensors only reading one side of the exhaust.
At one time I had my pipes sticking out in front of the rear tires, but the way the guy did it looked like hell, so I cut the pipes off just past the muffler and put a small turn down on them. I have also been thinking of deisel stacks on mine. I like the look but just not sure I want to cut holes in my truck bed. Anyway, good luck. I will try to get some pictures of mine this weekend and post them. Might help give you some ideas. Jeff.
