Leather seats install
Okay my buddy that works at a major junk yard called me today said that a 2000 ext cab ram came in with leather power seats in really good shape for free and i was wondering how to get power to the drivers seat
on mine theres alittle slip in the carpet and if u pull the carpet up the harness is laing right there just run it through the slit and connect it but thats on my 96 can say the same for other years
I believe it will depend on the truck. My truck was originally equiped w/ power seats, but the first owner swapped them out for manual (don't ask me why). As a result, the harnesses don't match up and my seatbelt light is now on constantly. I would just say to check the harness under your driver seat and see if it looks like it will match that from the leather seats. There is a pretty big size difference between the two if they don't work, you'll know what I mean if you see it.
i cant see it being too difficult to shoot the wiring and circuits to determine what power you need and where to send it.. the merry christmas PDF manual might aid you in the wiring setup.. all the switches and controls are seat mounted right? IIRC, they are so you should (in a perfect world) just need 12V switched/constant (depending on your desires)
