Advice
I have found some fabtech lift kits for my 2WD. Theyare 3", 3 1/2, 6 1/2. If I use these what else will I have to do to the truck? I have heard that I may have to change gearing and use a Hypertech.
I only want to lift it for looks - bigger wheels and tyres!

RE: Advice
idk if you ahve the 318 or 360 but ive heard that if you have the 318 it gets really sluggish after you put bigger tires on it so that would be the purpose for higher gearing, and also with the bigger tires your speedo would be off and i believe that would be the biggest reason for the hypertech which is to correct that. im not going to lie i am no wizard at this stuff but thats what makes sense to me.. hopefully i was right and could help

RE: Advice
depends on how big of tires you wanna go, with a 3 in lift youd be lucky to get 33's under a 2wd so regearing wouldent be as nessary any bigger tires and it would be a good ideahowever you have a 2wd so regearing is a lot easer and cheper (you only have one axle to do), hypertech isent nessary, ittl give a little extra but nothing majour it will also reset your speedo but again not nessary

RE: Advice
if you go w/ a lift like the 6" you will have to get longer break lines. They will be to short. Also, (kinda obvious) longer shocks and it will effect the driving a little. The bigger tires will make the truck a little "sluggish" like mentioned before. And im not sure about this, havn't lifted my dodge yet, but i've put 6+" lifts on older chevy's and when you go up that high, you need to rotate your axle or you will be replacing universals every other week. like i said tho, not sure if needed in the dodges but i would assume you would need to.
