Default 1998 Ram Sport Questions.

I am about to become an owner of a 1998 Dodge Ram Sport. For the most part, it is in really good shape except for a few things my old man did to the truck. When he had his boat/trailer rig, a couple of times he hit the back bumper with the trailer receiver, so there are a few knicks and dings on it. Also, one time the 4 wheeler trailer lifted up off the hitch and gouged a little area on the tailgate. [:@] It is noticeable enough for me to want to do something about it.

My question is... is there any sponsor around here or any online shop that sells exterior parts like the bumper and the tailgate? Also, which would be more cost effective.... Is this something a body shop could fix or would I be better off in the long run just replacing it myself. Thanks. I will try to include a picture of what I am talking about if I can find time to go over to my father's place.

You could probably get a bumper from a wrecking yard that would be in good shape same with the tailgate. I know that a new bubper from the dealer is $475.00. And I would check the local shops to see how much it would be to fix the tailgate.
