Default Looking for information: 2001 Ram

I did a search on this site and through google, but I could not find the information I was looking for. I am looking to purchase a 2001 Dodge Ram and I was wondering what kind of mileage I could expect before the first major repair? I used to have an Explorer and had 130,000 miles before the radiator had to be replaced and 172,000 miles before the transmission had to be repaired. I was also wondering what the difference between the syles are such as the SLT and ST, ect. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

its impossible to predict repairs based on mileage. common problems are transmissions, front end parts (ball joints, hub bearings, CAD, seals, track bar), cracked dash, heater core, plenum gasket, water pump. some trucks last a normal mileage (~120-180k), some go sooner.

ST is basic. SLT is loaded.

Basically what I was asking is if they have any issues, like poeple know that many early saturns burn oil, a first generation explorer's transmission usually goes at 80K miles. That kind of stuff.
