Default RE: remote start

I installed an aftermarket alarm/remote start. It wasn't too bad to do. I did alot of research to figure out the wire colors before I even started. For just a remote start I would set aside an afternoon. I've got alot of factory wiring diagrams for the '96 RAMs. Let me know if I can be of help.

Default RE: remote start

I got a 99 and did a remote start on it. Took me about an hour or so. I didn't bother doing the keyless because i had my original remote, and the keyless on the dodge is a pain in the a$$. I'm pretty good at wiring though, and worked at circuit city for a while, so i had an idea of what i had to do from other cars i've done. If ya got any questions though, feel free to ask.

You will hook up at the least.....
12volt constant
ignition
acc
starter
parking lights
brake switch
ground
a hood pin switch
and depending on what youwanna goa tach wire....You can set them up for voltage sence where when the voltage of the vehicle goes up it knows it has start, but sometime it will die if you try to remote start it shortly after it has been running cuz the voltage hasnt dropped enough. You could probably do it if you have some wiring skills...but if you havent donemuch before I would probably tell you to get it done at a shop. Do you have all he tools to do it?
