Default 96 Ram V10 coolant leak advice needed

I have discovered leaking coolant coming from where the temperature sending unit plugs into the thermostat housing. Does anyone have any advice on how to fix this? temp gauge works fine. Do I need to replace thermostat housing or just the sending unit? How difficult is it?

Any help would be appreciated. Apparently this is been happening for some time and I have a perpetual squeaky belt and some aluminum corrosion under hood.

Thank you in advance.

Isin't it just threaded into the block (or stat housing). Unscrew the old one, plug the hole, scrape the threads with a wire brush, teflon tape it and reinstall it.

Or use a new sending unit...lol.

Good luck with your ride.

Thanks for the advice. I thought it sounded too simple a fix to be true. After replacing fuel pump, I remain wary on simplistic written repair manual advice.

Thanks again.
