I'm trying to debadge my truck. I have the badges off and the bulk of the double sided tape but I can't get that last bit of adhesive off does anyone have any trick to getting it off

 

WD-40 should do the trick. Believe it or not, I've also heard that peanut butter will get sticky stuff off, but I've never triied that. WD-40 works really good though.

 

i wouldnt spray wd40 on my paint...idk about peanut butter, id sure u may get swirls with that....others may say gasoline, but again, i wouldnt use that...

i personally havent used this, but have been considering debadging the "LEER700" off my tonneau...they say when debadging, heat it up with a blow dryer a little then pull off....but for the last sticky stuff, i would try this

I had a neighbor who had bought a new pickup. I got up very early one Sunday morning and saw that someone had spray painted red all around the sides of this beige truck (for some unknown reason). I went over, woke him up and told him the bad news. He was very upset and was trying to figure out what to do probably nothing until Monday morning, since nothing was open. Another neighbor came out and told him to get his WD-40 and clean it off. It removed the unwanted paint beautifully and did not harm his paint job that was on the truck. I'm impressed! Water Displacement #40. The product began from a search for a rust preventative solvent and degreaser to protect missile parts. WD-40 was created in 1953 by three technicians at the San Diego Rocket Chemical Company. Its name comes from the project that was to find a "water displacement" compound. 40) Use it for fire ant bites . It takes the sting away immediately and stops the itch.
41) WD-40 is great for removing crayon from walls. Spray on the mark and wipe with a clean rag.
42) Also, if you've discovered that your teenage daughter has washed and dried a tube of lipstick with a load of laundry, saturate the lipstick spots with WD-40 and re-wash. Presto! Lipstick is gone!
43) If you sprayed WD-40 on the distributor cap, it would displace the moisture and allow the car to start.[/align]

wow amazed ...your post got me thinkin...u know how it said it will take off spraypaint on a vehicle...well, it made me remember, clay bar.....clay bars are used to take off various things on vehicles, small rocks, overspray ect....might want to try a claybar, but make sure you know how to use it, there are tips and tricks, you cant just go and do it...while i am amazed with the above post, im not ready to try it, on my truck anyway, my dads would be a great 1st test

do u guys use that one brand thats the most popular...i just tried to get some goopy crap off of my wall in my dorm from this double sided crap i used to hang a poster. it didnt work, but it was an off brand....either way, i think im going to get some wd40 and goo gone tomorrow or monday and try it out on all this stick crap i have all over my walls and compair
