RE: penalty for lifted trucks?
Radwebster pretty much hit the nail on the head.
It all depends on the cops. I don't think any of the local cops would ever bother me for anything vehicularly related. They're happy when they don't have to see me, andthey're not going to make excuses to bother me. I know a few towns over there's a cop that likes to pick on teenagers with tinted windows and stuff like that, but that's just an excuse to sniff the car and see if they smellpot. But do keep in mindif you're going to spend a couple thousand dollars on a suspension lift wouldn't hurt to save a couple bucks for a ticket. At least mostcops (eventhe oneswith really really small penises) can appreciate a good looking vehicle and shouldn't bother you unless you are doing something else already like speeding, swerving, burning out and whatnot (not that that should stop you either )

Yep, pay to play.
I haven't heard of enforcement in Colorado or Florida. Several years ago some group here in Colorado wanted a law stating you had to run the original size and type (bias, radial). It got squished.
Also, they must be sticklers in Virginia and West Virginia cause when I was out there last year, I didn't see a single lifted truck the entire week.

CT law is like 3 or 4 inches over stock hight. which means i can do a 6" kit and be legal but they dont enforce it cuz if they did, i kno of a couple fords rocking on 54" tires.one is done up real nice and the other is a damn gaser with 5.56 gearing and is still dogin with the puney 5.4 motor.
