Default Wiring and intake

How do you get to the wires for the cigarette lighter? I want to tie into them for my PA system (it's a lot fun) because the CB will come on only when the key is turned.

Also, is there cold air intake out there for less than $150? I'd hate to spend 250 bucks all at one lick to save some change at the pump.

what year truck? I have a 2001 and I just took out the fold down cup holders and the wires were easy to access. I tapped into them for my backup camera screen and my radar detector..

I think a 98 and a 2001 are the same, you have the fold down cup holders, not the slide out ones like a 97 right? If you have the same as me you'll need to remove 6 screws I think, four facing out and two that screw up from the cup holder into the dash. Then just pop the unit out. I think thats all the screws there are....it's been awhile.

I thought about the radio option, but I don't want to pull it back out, last time I accidentally ripped some wires out of the harness.

I just recently took out the fold down cup holder on my 98 Sport to clean them. There are 4 screws visible behind the hinge part, it's easier access if you slide the hinge to 1 side and pop it loose. Then you have to pop out the dash face to get to the 2 that are hidden abouve it. The dash face just pops off and 1 is located next to the key on/off switch for the passengerair bag and the other one is to the left of it.
