This is a continuation of a previous post of mine. Ijust boughta2000 Ram 1500 with a 6" lift and 35" tires but no jack. How do you guys with similar lifts and big tiresjack up your trucks and wheredo you put your jack. Is a bottle jack with a 18" extension tall enough?

 

buy a floor jack and use the axels as lift points

 

need more info. Are you talkin about for off-roading fixing? or at the home fixing?

 

not at home fixing - hi lift jack, available everywhere.
at home fixing - floor jacks. i like having 2, sometimes i wish i had 4.

 

craftsman makes a floor jack that has 21 inchs of total lift,,, tallest ive found so far for a decent brand......their alum racing jack i think goes up to 18 1/2 inches.. thast what i have now and i like it

 

i LOVE[sm=drlove.gif]bottle jacks they work great you can make a small foundation for them to lift them up higher or if you need to fix anywhere the hi-lift jacks are very useful tools.

 

thanks for the quick reply. I was talking about jack you can carry around with you in case of flat. I might go with an 18.5 inch bottle jack with a small foundation. TDMOPAR59 do you have pic of yours or can you tell me how you made it?
